Market Street Dental proudly opened its doors on the 24th of March 2024, owned and run by Dr Sanele Poswa.
We are a dental practice focusing on the oral health care needs of the entire family, from young children to seniors. Every member of your household will feel at home with our team.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO CONFIRM OR CANCEL DENTAL APPOINTMENT IN ADVANCE
Confirming or cancelling your dental appointment in advance is important because it helps the practice manage its schedule efficiently. When patients provide sufficient notice, the practice can fill vacant appointment slots, reducing unused chair time and making the best use of clinical resources.
Advance confirmation or cancellation also contributes to the sustainability of the practice by minimising missed appointments and scheduling disruptions. Most importantly, it demonstrates courtesy and respect for the time of your dental team and fellow patients who may be waiting for an appointment.
If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can offer the appointment to someone else in need, and reschedule your visit.

Oral health and children / Caring for your children’s teeth
Good oral health begins at birth. Although newborns do not yet have teeth, it is important to care for their mouths from the very beginning. Healthy gums provide the foundation for developing teeth, protecting the underlying bone and tooth buds. Gently clean your baby’s gums using a clean, damp gauze pad or soft washcloth, particularly after feedings and before bedtime. Establishing good oral hygiene habits early helps promote healthy tooth development and sets the stage for a lifetime of healthy smiles.

How to Make a Booking?

Do You Need a Referral?
No, you do not need a referral letter to see us. You can walk into our practice to make an appointment or use any of our available booking channels. If you have been referred by another healthcare practitioner, you can email us your referral letter or send it via WhatsApp, and we will book you for a consultation.
What to Bring to a First Visit?
For your first visit, please bring your medical aid card or medical aid details, the ID of the patient receiving treatment, and the ID of the main member of the medical aid. You will also need to provide information about your medical history, including any chronic or acute conditions and any medication you are currently taking.
Is there Parking?
There are several parking options available for patients visiting Market Street Dental. The first parking area is available on Marberius Avenue behind Joubert Plaza 1. The second parking area is available on Meade Street in the Joubert Plaza 1 parking area. There may also be parking available on the street in front of the practice on Market Street when it is not busy.
What Payment Methods Besides Medical Aid?
Payment methods available at Market Street Dental include cash, card payments via our card machine, EFT, and medical aid. You can also pay in advance via the PayFast link on our website.
